Why placement and clean edges matter
A cored hole is permanent, so it has to be right the first time. If it lands off the mark or wanders, your pipe, conduit, or anchor won't line up, and patching a bad hole gets expensive. Around here the local clay soil and the freeze and thaw of a Salt Lake winter already work on concrete, so a ragged hole that spalls or cracks the slab just gives water another way in.
